Welcome to the Community Literacy Workforce and Cultural Center (CLWCC). This facility was designed to address the Whole Child/Whole Family. We believe that this facility will bring together community and regional partners to provide holistic educational opportunities, workforce training and continuing education opportunities and comprehensive community support and health programs. Education and wellness will thrive within the building that will include a Public Library location, Wellness Center, Southwoods Health, Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board, United Way of Youngstown and Mahoning Valley programs, Eastern Gateway Community College, Stark State College, the Red Devil Café, and the Northeast Ohio IMPACT Academy.
The Whole Child/Whole Family has as a concept wellness of staff and students. This facility houses a Wellness Center (available to the community via membership) that consists of two wellness center rooms, a gymnasium and a golf simulation room. The CLWCC will also offer classes to the public that provide additional wellness activities for a nominal fee. The gymnasium, available for rent will be used by district students as well as available for rent. The gymnasium offers basketball, volleyball, futsol, and pickle ball. A golf-simulator room with 3 simulators is available for rent.
To address the needs for workforce development and professional learning, the conference center offers the perfect meeting space for any size group. Conferences and training activities play an important role in workforce development. Our spacious facility offers an ideal setting or many types of meetings and events. The facility is perfect for job fairs, conventions, trade shows, award celebrations, lectures, town hall meetings, and family/life events.
